Post subject: IIS Not work for Integrated Auth
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

I tried to host a web site to be used by our small team
within company network. I have W2000 Pro (not W2000
server) and IIS 5 on my workstation. I set IIS to
Integrated Window Auth and put everyone in ACL of the web
file folder. Everyone in the team has a domain account.
However, I got error for not being authorized.

If I put team members as Power users, then it works fine.

Does anyone knows why this is happenning?

Thanks.

Glen

Windows Integrated authentication requires the users to have the right to
"Access this computer from network". Placing them in the Power users group
gives them this right. This is expected behavior.

I forgot what error number is. It prompt for user name
and passort.
It works if I set for basic auth.
