We have been getting emails saying people are having problems accessing
some of our pages, they are only half loading, when I contacted the host
they told me it was a problem with my computer even though I'd told them
that I had sen the problem on 4 different PCs with different ISPs

I will happily create a subsite on my domain with FTP access. I can spare
about 8 GB of bandwidth per month.

Ugh.
If you can't find help from your current host, consider moving.
Think there's been a couple posting willing to help.

Very strange. Im trying to think if there is a web-server setting that can
cause that. Are you sure that you didnt somehow load your pages up and
overwrite all of them with the same page?

No
I have since copied all the files from their server to a friends server
for a short time and all the pages worked fine from all the involved
computers

If you upload a fresh version of each page to the existing host and still
have the problem then I'd say you have conclusively proven that it's time
to move to a new host.

Hmmm! Three out of four trunceted pages I saw end with the phrase,
"There are currently " and come to an abrupt end at *exactly the same
spot* in the text (even though what was fetched differs in length for
the three files that end with "currently ", 8.6KB, 8.5KB and 8.4KB
respectively).

Is there any chance of your sending me the complete untruncated pages as
attachments, preferably as *binary* attachments? I could look at the
pages with a hex editor to see if I can spot anything at that spot that
is suspicious.

I'm wondering if some editing software pasted in a UTF-16 character or
something that has a leading byte of zero that makes the server think[1]
it's the end of a string or something like that.

The ends of the last three truncated files have too much similarity for it
to be a coincidence.
