Cannot uninstall/re-install IIS 5.1 in XP Pro

Hi,
I installed IIS 5.1 through the Add/Remove Windows Component window for the first time without a problem. I was able to see the Internet Information Services Icon in Administrative Tools under Control Panel. However, when I installed IIS, I uncheck the box of the Internet Explorer and it was removed; so I tried to reinstall IE but I also selected to reinstall IIS, and it seems that It caused a problem, because even when my Internet Explorer was installed, the Internet Information Services Icon dissapeared.
So I came back to Add/Remove windows Component and tried to uninstall IIS, but It didn't work. It starts the uninstallation process, but it hangs forever.
What should I do to successfully uninstall and then re-install the IIS ?

I have the same problem.
Tried to reistall the IIS 5.1 without uninstalling it first and didn't work. Now Iam trying to uninstall through the Add/Remove components utility but it hangs at maybe 15%.
I tried to delete the inetsrv folder but I couldn't. It says that it is being used by another process.
Any clue on how to solve this ? Are there some registry files that I need to manually delete or something like that ?
