The usual web log analysis program will only give you raw numbers. The best
tool to review the paths people take through your web site is a spread sheet
program like Excel. However, you'll need to be hosted on a system that will
allow you to download the web logs.
Your site design is going to make it difficult to analyze. Your home page
should have ten or less decisions for the browser to make. Each page
thereafter should also have a short list of choices and always located in
the same place. When they arrive on a page with Order buttons, keep the
selection to less that 25 per page.
Think about it. When you walk into a shoe store and all you see is one wall
full of boxes, what do you do? You walk over and ask if they have what you
are looking for or leave. If you see signs that say "Mens" and "Womens",
then you know to turn left or right. If the shelves are well organized and
there are signs to see what's where, then you'll find what you want yourself
without needing to ask.
You've got the right idea on the pictures but you'd be amazed how many
people won't know they can click a picture to see a bigger one.
