Hi, I've recently finished my first css website and was hoping for some
thoughts on what people think. Criticisms are welcome, and suggested
improvements would be great.

The site is: www.blacktieskis.com

Cheers,
Ben

Yes, *I* know that, but the billions of average users out there do not
know it. And they will leave the site to find something they can read.

The divs aren't lining up correctly in Opera, but what else is new?

Could somebody please tell me how to view linked style sheets? I understand
how to 'view source' to see the (X)HTML code but haven't yet figured out
how to see a linked style sheet on someones web site.

BTW, I think the site looks VERY nice.

Yes of course. Perhaps I was too subtle. Smile

Thanks to all that posted - much appreciated. I've just installed the Web
Developer extension. Great stuff!

Hey mate, thanks for the feedback. I've looked through the source and I
can't see any gaps in the meta data except for the fact that its on
several lines. I can't find any line breaks etc. Thanks for the link to
the meta site, i'll definately give that a go. Any further info on the
meta would be helpful though.

Cheers,

Benz

Beauregard thanks for the help I appreciate your comments. I agree the
style sheet is a bit long and am working on getting that right down. As
for the splash screen it was unfortunately out of my hands as the
business had decided on this prior to taking me on, although I agree
that several aesthetic changes are needed before I'm completely
comfortable with it.
Fluid design verse fixed is something i decided on myself and as its
generally a matter of preference I'm sticking by it. In the works are a
text size changer determined by the style sheet so it doesn't ruin the
layout.
The links aren't 100% obvious but I think it many ways (as my testing
suggests) its intuitive and I didn't want to go with overt sloppy
looking links.

Thanks to everyone that posted comments.
Cheers,
Benz
