I want to test how an ASP .Net class handles secure mode.
Can I, if so how, create an invalid SSL certification in
IIS, I do not mind the resulting message box, to test?

thanks.

Hi,

You can use SelfSSL from the IIS Resource Kit, or install an the Certificate
Server on a a server, and create your own certificate.

For more information about SelfSSL:

Hi Greg,

The suggestion from Kristofer will help you a lot if you use IIS6 in
Windows 2003.

Furthermore, if you use Windows 2000 or before, you can also build SSL with
a test certificate. The two kb articles will introduce detailed information
for you on this issue. Please go to:
216907 HOW TO: Obtain a Test Certificate or a Test Client Authentication

290625 HOW TO: Configure SSL in a Windows 2000 IIS 5.0 Test Environment by

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Does this answer your question? Thank you for using Microsoft NewsGroup!
