Hi,

Im hosting IIS on a non standard port.

Can anyone suggest an incoming port number that wont get in the way of
anything else ?

i.e
- so it does not interfere with any other incoming traffic
- a port that the majority of people behind firewalls may allow outgoing -
therefore users wont have connection problems.
- cant use 80 as hosting another IIS machine
- could possibly use reverse proxy (apache or octagate software) to host
more than one port 80 machine.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Scott

Check the list:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers" target="_blank">http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers</a>

Pick something else.
