Hello,

We have opened a website selling products from Thailand. However,
there is a little problem about which kind of products can be sold on
the internet and how can we get quality traffic to our site.
We sell product in low price. Now we are trying to find some
advertising method.
Does anybody has some ideas? please suggest!

Our website:
http://www.thecraftcity.com

Have a nice day, Thanks in advance!
Charles C.

Howdy,

The first problem you have is your shopping cart does not work well. You
may have people trying to place orders and stopping at the first indication
they can't finish.

Hit <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.thecraftcity.com/cart" target="_blank">http://www.thecraftcity.com/cart</a> or <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.thecraftcity.com/main" target="_blank">http://www.thecraftcity.com/main</a> and
you'll see a list of things that should NEVER happen on a properly installed
web site. With a little experimenting, I could probably compromise your
entire data base. By downloading some of your *.php pages, I can edit them
and place orders without paying for them. *.ASP, *.PHP and embedded
VBScript are not safe to use for shopping cart functions unless you are a
very experienced expert.

Your web pages are way too cluttered and it's hard to tell just what to
click on. Very confusing and that applies to getting indexed on the search
engines as well.

I strongly recommend stopping any attempts to advertise until you've got
your site hosted properly and the other major design problems resolved. If
you've got any credit card numbers stored on the server, either remove them
immediately or get the entire site off-line.

Hi Charles,

I just viewed your new website and would like to offer a few
simple suggestions. I'm not an expert and don't currently own my own
website, but I shop alot online as a re-seller. Your website is a bit
hard to follow.

May I suggest you re-name your catagories. The way you have them
currently looks as if you only have 1 or 2 items in each catagory.
You need to pluralize each catagory as well as re-naming them. When it
looks like you only have a few products your shoppers and especially
re-sellers, will not bother looking.

For instance, "T-shirt & Tank top", looks like you are selling 1 of
each. More people would be more intised to look if you renamed it
"CLOTHING". Clothing would bring more traffic, and even if someone
wasn't specifically look for one of those items they may buy after
they see and like the product. This would also save you from adding
another catagory later if you add other kinds of clothing. Another
suggestion would to be subcatogory under CLOTHING, for T-shirts, Tank
Tops etc, then if you added other types of clothing later on you would
only need to add another subcatagory. This also makes your web site
look more organized and professional.

"Jewery & Gems" should only be catagorized Jewelry, with subcatagories
by style, item or stone.

"Temple Rubbing Picture" would look better as "Temple Rubbing
Sculptures"

"Buffolo Horn Carving" - just pluralize it, as well as "Wood
Sculpture". You can always add subcatagories, later as your line
grows.

"Handbag & Purse"- nothing in this catagory- again on the same basis
on looking like you don't have much - empty catagories to the
re-seller serves the same purpose.

I also notice you don't currently offer a dropshipping program. You
may want to consider this as it will increase sales for you
drastically. Re-sellers like my self that do alot of online auctions,
stick to websites that offer dropshipping. This allows them to test
drive the product without spending alot of money. If you have a good
selling product, they will opt to buy bulk from you.

I hope my suggetions help you a bit.

May I suggest a free newsletter I get weekly from a highly repsected
entreprenuer, Chris Malta. I have been followning his free
information for a year now in my re-selling ventures on eBay, and his
tips have really made a difference in my sales. His news letter is
called "Creative Selling" and it has tons of tips on how to present
your website, Product Titles; where to find manufactures for
reselling,

Hello Hanfullat5,

Thank you very much for your information.
Dropshipping is the great idea, however, I'm not sure whether I can
use their service because I'm not living in USA.
I will try to follow your suggestions about my website.

If you have more information or questions, please feel free to contact
me.

Have a nice day, Thank You!

no offense, just a bit of advise from a web developer.... hire a web
designer to re-design your site. should only cost you a couple
thousand usa or less abroad. this site may be sophisticated on the
back-end but at first glance it comes across as an amateur site.
sorry to sound harsh but you asked. good luck.
