Post subject: new ssl cert
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have a server at home for just my family. I want to add 128 bit SSL to it
because we have NT authentication on some pages. How can I create an SSL
certificate instead of buying one? I assume that any computer that access
this web site will get a message about the SSL certificate being untrusted.
I also assume that for each computer that accesses this web site I can add
in something to IE to "trust" my homemade SSL certificate.

How do I do these 2 things?
(1) make the ssl certificate
(2) make my computers trust the homemade ssl certificate

thanks!
