I am running iis 5/smtp on windows 2000 on several different servers. For
some reason the timestamp that gets associated with outbound email in the
log is about 4 hours fast on all servers. I have checked the local
time/timezone and the clients and servers and they are all correct (EST),
any thoughts?

It seems that you have logging in UTC format. To change this go to IIS
MMC > Properties for an appropriate virtual SMTP server > General Tab >
W3C Extended log format > Properties button, make sure "Use local
time.." checkbox is checked.
