Can't set mappings on IIS 5.1 on XP

Post subject: Can't set mappings on IIS 5.1 on XP
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
This is really silly. I want to add some application mappings. I go to the Home Directory tab and click Configure - and nothing happens. Is there a known fault or an obvious omission on my part which could be causing this?

Nothing normal, are you a local admin on the system?

Thanks for getting back. Yes, I am an administrator. I can only suppose that something has gone wrong with the IIS installation on my computer, but as to what to do about it, I'm a bit stumped.

Hello,
Try running this command and restarting IIS.
"regsvr32 appconf.dll "
You should find the above dll in the C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv folder.
