I have a domain name registered with another provider. Can I use that
domain name with a Tripod Plus account?

Will the visitor see my registered domain name when they are browsing
my home page on my Tripod Plus account?

Thanks for your help.

Looks like no. You would need higher than the Plus account.

What answer did you get from the sales guy at Tripod?
What answer did you get from tech support at Tripod?

What answer did you get from the sales guy at Tripod?
What answer did you get from tech support at Tripod?

Is there any particular reason a usenet group is more likely to reveal
accurate information than the host?

If the provider of the Domain Name permits 'framed web forwarding' you can
hide any other address under the domain name via the control panel on the
provider's website.

this is the affordablehost.com's customer support newsgroup, not
tripods. they're over that way --->

check with your registrar to see what kind of forwarding they offer or
better yet run screaming from tripod and find a real host such as

uuhhhmmm, , , , , is that a trick question?Sad

Just seems that some people are getting more support here, (and better
info), than they get from thir host - in some cases - or is it just my
imagining?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
