Why spammers have suddenly started attaching PDFs?
Is it now possible to put a virus into an Adobe Acrobat file
afterall??

As well as the fact that it gets it past most anti-virus programs, I'm sure
that I read somewhere that pdf's can be infected with a virus. But before
you panic, the free pdf reader can't be its only if you have the full adobe
pdf creation/editing software that it can be an issue. Could be wrong, can't
remember the link ...

I heard that there is a security flaw in the older
version of Acrobat reader that allows viruses, but
that the newest version fixes that.

I'm getting a lot of PDF spam the last couple of months too.

I can't say for sure about the windows installer running, but it might have
started up to install a font included in the PDF file.

"PDF is no more able to embed malware on an unsuspecting user's system

What?

A typical email attachment can install malware, so I don't find that
statement to be very reassuring.
