Uninstall the Toolbar - ok, I know, that isn't what you meant.

Is this another 'SmartTags' episode looming? Tough if you sell books
online, your visitors now get a direct link to the book on Amazon.
What's next? All sites displaying info about email services get links
to ... where? gMail? We live in interesting times :/

I'm no expert, not even a fair amateur, but won't someone be able to use
some sort of utility to detect google and subvert their linking. Can't
imagine they'd be happy to have your site generate a pop-up with
something like "Don't be fooled by where google is taking you" that
covers the page they link too. Or somehow parses the code right back to
your site.

Where are the hackers when you need them.

After all isn't that what the spyware/adware folks are going to do?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I would uninstall the toolbar.
That's what I did and replaced it with msn's toolbar
The main thing google's toolbar was any good for was pr, but even that doesn't seem to have much meaning anymore

I'd uninstall ALL toolbars... never found one to be useful - just wasting
screen real estate...

Firefox's Web Dev addon toolbar is handy[1] (and View > Toolbars > ...
allows you to hide/unhide any toolbar if you need more screen real
estate).

[1] I just wish some of its features (such as displaying accesskeys)
could be toggle permanently on/off instead of reverting to off
whenever a new page is loaded requiring it to be turned on over
and over and ....
