Xitami is very simple and a breeze to install under windows,
but the last I checked it doesn't handle server side scripting.
This may have changed by now.
You are not limited to XP. I suggest you make the machine
a dual boot system and install Ubuntu or Mepis. Either
will just drop in without disturbing your Win system, and they
don't take up a lot of room on the HD. When you boot you'll get to
choose the op system you want to work in. Linux can read anything
you've done on the Windows partition, or you can create an extra
FAT32 partition that both can read and write to for shared application
data. It depends on your site provider, but Linux is likely to be
a closer match to that system if you want an exact copy on your machine.
