Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

I have been fighting my Apache2 config for months trying to get multiple
virtual hosts working over SSL. Does anyone have this working for Ubuntu
7.10? I'd love to see how you've done it.

Cheers,
Scott

Yes, yes, yes, yes. I know, search before post. Did you ask before assume?
I've been searching for months and have been referencing numberous posts,
websites, and guides trying to get it to work for my situation.

That subject has recently been discussed several times
in quite some detail here and I think many regulars are
getting tired answering the same question over and over
again.

Your best bet for a quick answer is to consult Google
groups first.

Search for:
alt.apache.configuration ssl vhost multiple certificate

I've been trying that for months. The problem is, no one piece of
information is accurate. There's alot of misinformation out there. I
finally got it all sorted out. What a PITA this was.

Thanks for posting. I know it gets tiring when the same question arises. I
did search and no one asked exactly what I was trying to do so somehow my
original post wasn't clear.

So, why don't you post any details instead of complaining?

I haven't found any topics of SSL virtual hosts on Ubuntu 7.10. That's why
I was trying to reach out to people doing the same thing. Creating
certificates that work is very challenging since all instructions I've found
do not work on my box. Here is the solution I found that solved my problem
after months of searching,
https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+source/apache2/+bug/77675/comments/15.

I now have another issue with virtual hosting in general but this isn't a
Ubuntu problem. It's my understanding of virtual hosting in Apache. I will
start my search before posting, which is what I did for a long time prior to
posting here.

Cheers,
Scott
