Hello
i've had this problem a while ago on a Windows 2000 server, and have
solved it then by adding the DisablePickupDotStuff value 1 with the
MetaEdit 2.2 tool

But now i'm having the same problem, but this time on a Windows 2003
webserver, with CDOSYS instead of CDONTS??

Does anyone know how to fix this bug?

I've installed MetaEdit 2.2 on the windows 2003 server, but it gives
me a warning that MetaEdit 2.2 is designed for IIS4 and IIS5, not for
IIS6?

Should i do the same?

Hope anyone can help me out?
Thanks,
Stig

It worth trying Wink

Hello,

Metabase in IIS6 is just a plain XML file and if you enable "direct
editing", you could alter it on-the-fly (IIS MMC > [Your Server Name] >
right mouse click > Properties > Enable Direct Metabase Edit). Please be
careful Wink

For more details:

Thanks for the quick reply, in the meanwhile i've found that there is
something like the IIS 6 Resource Kit Tools, which has the Metabase
Explorer.

You can find it here:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=56fc92ee-a71a-4c73-b628-ade629c89499&DisplayLang=en" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=56fc92ee-a71a...73-b628</a>

With the Metabase Explorer it's possible to add the following key to
LM/SmtpSvc/1:
ID 37030 (SmtpDotStuffPickupDirFiles) DWORD Value 1, Server,
Inheritable

And that solves my problem at a glance

Greetings,
Stig

Yep! Thanks - I just forgot about it (in most cases I'm altering
metabase manually or via APIs).
