How to make a copy a website ?

My sister has a database driven website that she would like to bring
down. But she wants to keep a copy of it in case she decides to later
host it back up again.

The website uses PHP, mySql etc.

She has an HP Windows XP Intel HT PC with CD /DVD reader and writer.

She was wondering how she could make a copy of it ?

Any suggestions ? is it easy ?

We are both Non -technical !! so pls give us as much details as
possible.

thanks
lisa

Howdy,

I'd suggest hiring someone to pull it down via FTP for you. Part of the
complication is knowing where to find the data bases. You may find someone
in your area who will spend a couple of hours at your computer to do it.

Keep in mind, because it's done in PHP, what you download from the site will
not run on your computer or a CD unless you purchase and install the
software to execute it locally.

PHP is basically a bastardized version of Perl (CGI) scripting. Perl is
free and fairly easy to run on any computer. PHP is not.
