Hi, I installed the iss component in my system but,
according to instructiond it was supposed to place an
icon in the tray, is not there, also, in start, it
detected a new installed program but it was never
displayed.
I have xp pro

the COM? accidentally sd no) since I couldnt find the
program I re-installed it twice, but no luck.
Thanks for your help. >> Stay informed about: no iss icon in task bar |

Hello,
IIS does not have any icon in the task bar on Windows XP Pro.
You can check if it is started by going to:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://localhost" target="_blank">http://localhost</a>
You can also administrate IIS using the IIS Manager, which can be found in
Administrative Tools.

Thank you, your post really helped me
I just need to get more familiar with
the TCP/IP 'cause now when I click one
of the links it opens a new window but
it goes nowhere, like it can't find it.
Any ideas?
Thank you again.
