Dear Sir,

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2. I got an error as below when installaing IIS
at my pc.

Copy error.
Setup cannot copy the file staxmem.dl_ . Ensure the location specified below
is correct, or change it and insert Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
cd' in the drive you specify.
Copy files from:
C:\ i386

The file is there in folder i386.
When i cancel and continue with the installation, the same error appear but
this time specifying another file. Below is just part of the list

admexs.dl_
AppConf.dl_
iisadmin.dl_

May i know what cause the error and how it can be solved?
Thanks

Maybe the I386 folder that you have does not belong to the set that comes
bundled with Windows XP SP2. Do you have an option to locate the file when
this error occurs.

You could then Browse and locate the correct file (probably the Windows
Setup Kit W/ SP2) and setup will continue from there.

Please do a search on the error string and apply the official
resolutions. If they don't work, then indicate which you have tried
and failed.

I just had the same problem, however I have been able to find a fix on the MS
site:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555268

After following the directions, I had no other issues installing and I
didn't need to put in the Installation CD.
