After I upgraded my o/s from Windows Home ed. to XP
professional, I tried to install IIS. The steps I took
is: go to Start-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs-
Add/Remove Windows Components-IIS components installed.
After the upgrade and iis installation completed, still I
do not see IIS icon on my task bar. Where is the icon.
Did I do something wrong?

There won't be an icon. It's an NT service that runs. What are you looking
for? The IIS manager? Enter this in your run dialog:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\iis.msc

Hi,

IIS does not have an icon in the task bar. IIS is probably installed, and if
it's not started, you can use IIS Manager to start it.
