I chose iPowerWeb as a new host for my web site and email after a
quick review of the offers a few months ago. Here's some feedback for
others looking for web hosting:

Sign-up: easy and quick, good customer service

Price: as advertised ($96/yr)

Capabilities: as advertised except for a few non-obvious limitations
- the email filtering capability provided is so primitive that it's
basically not useful
- you can point multiple domain names to your site (for a $10 one-time
fee each), but email for those pointed domains isn't supported
- email received by the default catch-all account can't be forwarded

On-line help: fair (there's a reasonable quantity of information, but
a lot of holes, and much of the information is superficial rather than
answering likely user questions)

Email technical support: poor (percentage of messages answered: 50%,
percentage of wrong answers: 33%, percentage of useful answers: 0%)

Telephone technical support: toll free, waiting time: 10 min, question
(regarding service outage) was answered

Reliability: fair so far (one instance of email being out of service
for several hours, a few periods of very slow email delivery, one
instance of having email rejected by another system as coming from a
known spam host)

Speed: fair (no serious complaints, but not as fast as our last host)

Control Panel: the newer Vdeck control panel is fine, nothing great
but gets the job done

Reports: pretty extensive, I like it

MySQL/PHP: seems to work fine

FTP: seems to work (but some features take time to puzzle out since
the online help in this area is weak)
