Hi all,

I am seeing a ton of Timer_ConnectionIdle errors in the httperr log. What
exactly is this and do I need it? Can I disable it for certain websites as
it is causing browsing issues for end users. They get intermittent page
cannot be displayed errors and blank pages.

TIA!

Check out the properties of ur default website in the websites tab
check out the connection time out settings and make sure you have
checked the httpconnectionAlive.

Could someone be so kind as to elaborate on the significance of this
setting, the benefits obtained and the potential results of a wrong setting?

I get some of these errors too. I notice each of my websites is at the
default (W2K3 - IIS-6) of 120 seconds. However, I notice that a
programmatically installed website (for an AV management console) is set to
900 seconds.

How does one know how to tweak this setting?

Thanks,

-Frank
