I have set up "httpd" to be started by "xinetd", but unless
some instances of "httpd" are already running on the Linux
box, I can *not* load a web page from across the internet.
Why is "xinetd" *not* starting those "httpd"s for me when
a "GET" request comes in on the port???

I have to be logged in on the Linux server and telnet to
the server itself on the "httpd" port to get the "httpd"
daemons started. What gives???

Is not a good idea to have Apache started by xinetd or inetd,
better leave it as a daemon. Check your log files, probably he
can't start for some reasons.
