The job market in DC is pretty tight - at least compared to 1999-2000
There *are* jobs out there though. The problem is, most of them are 6 month
contracts.
If your resume is good enough, you can negotiate your way out of the
contract and go straight to hire.
Talk to some of the area's technical recruiters - Robert Half Associates,
Spherion, Wallach Associates, or GAP Solutions.
