Archived from groups: alt>freewebhosting (more info?)

Hello. I've been trying to get some reliable webspace with ftp and php
support and I'm coming to the conclusion that free webhosting is -pardon my
French here- total Shiite. I know you get what you pay for but many services
over the net, search engines, web based e-mail, most websites etc are free
and RELIABLE i.e. THEY WORK.
I can't really comment on sites that offer no server side scripting as I've
not used them. But scripting sites that don't have multiple popups or
disfiguring ads. are either very difficult to sign up for or kind of tease
you. That is they work okay for about 2 weeks, a month if your lucky then
they disappear, or they are usually off line and any links or places in
search engine you've managed to build up are broken or gone.
My experiences have made me very rather wary of webhosting companies in
general. Can anyone here recommend either a good (reliable not likely to
disappear into the great blue yonder) free host with php and ftp. I'm
beginning to believe they don't exist. Or failing that a good cheap one?
Thanks

Depending on the purpose of your website, u might consider my free service
at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.lgchosting.com/" target="_blank">http://www.lgchosting.com/</a> ( no longer automated due to abuse Razz ) or if
you are considering paid/cheap service go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.budgetnetwork.net/" target="_blank">http://www.budgetnetwork.net/</a>

or you can email me directly at jack DeleteThis @lgcsolutions.com and I'll work
something else with you at the lowest price guaranteed.

Btw, incase you didn't know, my free service and my paid service comes with
the same features and resources, same level of customer and technical
support. Just that your website has to fit a certain criteria to be hosted
for free.

Cheers
Jack
