hello everybody,
as I mentioned in a previous post, I'm trying to use Apache to serve
files to localhost only - so security issues are out of questions.
Do you know how can I configure it to let it allow requests with the
"file://" protocol?
I noticed that if I open an index HTML file (with File->Open in
Firefox) containing this kind of links, they can be clicked and open
the related files (according to mimetype, I think).
If the same index HTML file is served by Apache, clicking the same
links is impossible - no errors, nothing. I guess they are "blocked"
by some security option, that I'd like to disable.
Any help very welcome, thank you!

Ow, thank you, I just found out as your answer came in:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_Issues_:_Links_to_Local_Pages_Don't_Work
I'll try to disable that...

This blocking is provided by security in your browser, not apache.
