Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I want to access, for example, my webmail site internaly aswel externaly form
the local network.

i have a subdomian webmail.domain.com and this works fine from the outside.
i have used the header reconision.
Now i want the local users have access to the webmail site on the same whay
as the external users.

Example:

external users from the internet access the webmail by entering
webmail.domain.com

local users , on the same network as where the mailserver is - same ip
range, also need to type webmail.domain.com.

my local domain is office.local.

how do i set this up in IIS

regards

Peter

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

you might define a "webmail" entry in your local DNS server (probably
yoru DC) pointing to the local address of you webmail server, inthe
forward zone of office.local.

Then create the matching host header on your webmail site settings, with
the iis management console.
