there is really no more free good hosting now. if you have to go for the
better, no so free hosting, you must first check this one out: a comparison

Does themooseisloose provide FTP access? I feel that is only thing missing

Yep. Like all cPanel features and reg hosting stuff apply.

I got two accts and it's full on.
Straight up hosting. No banners or junk. Just limited in storage and
transfer, but it's enuf

Limited in storage and transfer? I thought you will have 10M and 500M, that
is more than enough for many. Do they have daily limit too? Do they allow
you to have more than 1 account there? Is the uptime more than 99%?

I will use 1+1 but would like something like your host as a backup host and
mail server, so that http to 1 ip and mail to another ip.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
