Post subject: connecting to an IIS server from Internet services manager
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have several web servers all running IIS. I am always
able to connect to them remotely form my desktop using
Internet Services Manager by right clicking on Internet
Information Services once the manager is up, clicking
connect, and keying in the web servers name. On one of my
servers, I get the message, "a security package specific
error occurred", when I attempt to connect in this manner.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve

This may be a problem with Domain related security or a corrupt security
policy.
