Post subject: A Way to configure IIS 6.0 to allow Blank or empty Organization Unit
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Is there a way to configure IIS 6.0 to allow Blank or empty
Organization Unit field?

I have a certificate that is minus that field and IIS does not seem to
allow this by default. Unless someone can tell me why this would be a
security risk I would like to seek a registry hack or policy change
to allow the Organization Unit field to be blank or empty.

If not I am going to have to recreate my certificate at expense and
bother all because Microsoft sees this field as essential to any
Certificate created.
