Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

We have several W2k3 x64 SP2 std serverer with IIS and running ASP.NET x64.
We have about 20 application pools , one for each application.

Default I only see a few events in the application log for recycling events.

We then applied the following setting :
cscript adsutil.vbs Set w3svc/AppPools/logeventonrecycle 255

But I cant see that I get anymore logging.
Do I have to do this with each application pool ?

Mmm.. you should be able to see all app pool logging events.
I think the one event not logged is the idle shutdown of the app pool.
