They are surprising reliable; I happen to have a couple extra domains
I don't currently use on Ableinternet. However, bandwidth on the free
(actually a $5 one-off charge) account is severely limited. For a
business site, likely suitable only if the whole site is just an online
business card. It is amazing the sort of traffic even websites on
obscure topics can generate. I'm having to delete all the binaries from
my amateur site about recreational use of the stuff they put in
children's cough syrup. For my main site, which is quite small, several
hundred unique vistors daily is typical. The monthly bandwidth that this
uses with just text pages with no graphics isn't miniscule.

I help run a tiny business "just dipping it's toes in the web"

We pay for our hosting. It costs less for a reseller account than I
spend on beer in a week.

Any business that can't even pay $50US a year isn't a business, it's a
hobby. You're better off with that limited hosting from a service that you
can grow with instead of limited free hosting that would require tons of
changes later if the site is successful.

Here, here. I run a professional dedicated server with some serious
bandwidth (like 300gB a month +) and only pay £60 a month for it, I
spend far more on beer in a month (don't tell the missus!)

I'm not sure. Its sounds too good to be true! I don't know too much about
his hosting, but he has great Wi-Fi network. Judd is great guy, I'm sure
he'll expain what his version of unlimited means.

About 98% of the sites stay within the limit. Bill Logan found this too
with his hosting business.

Stands to reason. If you expect to use more than 50MB then you wouldn't
sign up for it. Looks like people know what they are signing for.

Fair point. There are sites that will stay with 50 MB. The one page
business card type sites come to mind.
