Someone please help me before I explode.
The geniuses that set up my indexing for my website on IIS5 set the catalog to index such fun directories as the C drive, program files, etc. Even .REG files were showing up in a search on my website for 'microsoft'! I deleted the catalog and created a new one. Now I just have one annoying thing instead of several: the contents of the _VTI_CNF folders keep showing up in the search. I right clicked and did properties-->advanced--> and "For fast searching, allow index server to index this resource" was NOT checked. What can I do to stop these results from showing in the search?

Hi Tara,

You need to exclude the _ directories in your results set.

' Stuff to exclude from the search.
ste = " &! #vpath *\_* &! #vpath *\search*"
CompSearch = CompSearch & ste

Regards,
Jeff.
