Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hello all,

Using IIS 5 on a Windows 2000 pro machine. I have a webpage that needs to
open up a Wordperfect 9 document when a link it clicked. I am looking on
google, but have been unable to find the mime setting for Wordperfect 9.

Anyone have an idea where to find it?

Thanks,

Gale

How about "application/x-corel-wordperfect"?

Nope, that didn't work. It still wants to download the file instead of open
it in a browser. Maybe I am missing something?

I put .wpd in the associated extension and

application/x-corel-wordperfect in the Content type (MIME).

Do I have to maybe restart my server?

I tried both

application/x-wpwin and
application/wordperfect

It still asks to either open, save or cancel. It still doesn't open up in
the browser.

A search of google for "common mime-types" brought back this link:

Actually, that's a function of the client/browser. Try modifying the
mime-type for the file extension on the client. IIRC, IE basically ignores
the mime-type sent from the server and looks at the file extension.
