Windows Server 2003 IIS can't get ftp or remote access

I am seeting up my 1st dedicated server. I've got the web
site working but I cannot get Reomote Control working, nor
can I ftp to the site.

I have port 21 enabled on my dsl link to the outside world
and appear to be able to gain access up to the point where
I am asked for a user name and password. I've tried
everything I can think of. What am I doing wrong?

I also need to upload from Dreamweaver my web files but as
I cannot gain access at all this is proving to be
impossible.

Any help would be appreciated.

You haven't told us what the error message is when after you get prompted
for authentication. That should tell us that you're making it to the web
server.

Can you access ftp locally on the server itself? From another machine in
the same network?
