I currently use the Freeservers starter package. Anyone know of a host
that is more reliable than Freeservers at under $5 month with at least
everything the Freeservers starter package offers?
If you know off hand...
Thanks,

Don't really know what Freeservers offers but I think you can get lifetime
hosting at Charles Sweeney's hosting company, <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.ableinternet.com/," target="_blank">http://www.ableinternet.com/,</a>
for $5. Otherwise you can go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.webhostingtalk.com" target="_blank">http://www.webhostingtalk.com</a> and there is a
forum there to request hosting. I'm sure someone will bite, maybe you can
offer them something in exchange.

I think Cheap Web will work...
50 MB space - 500 MB bandwidth - $1.00 month
100 MB space - 1 GB bandwidth - $1.80

cheapweb.com looks like it's out of business.
I had a peek at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.lypha.com/" target="_blank">http://www.lypha.com/</a>
which can be under $5 if you pay for *three years* at a time.
Don't know anything about their reputation, though.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Webhosts $5 and under monthly? |

You might check page-zone.com. See my other thread on the subject
of email filtering and decide if you care. I highly recommend them
aside from this one issue.

BTW - We finally got Cpanel to allow attachments through. Not sure if you
said page-zone said it 'couldn't' be done...but it now can. Tell them they
can visit Cpanel's forums for the fix.

Thanks Tina. I think page-zone knows that it can be done with some
manual editing. I'm not so sure they want to be in that mode
site wide.
Seems like the Cpanel/Exim folks should really make this a simple
toggle though.

I can't imagine why Page-Zone wouldn't want to fix this bug.

Yeah, and their lack of documentation meant that we didn't even know they
bounced file attachment emails, until someone pointed it out.
