I am running IE7 and cannot get a webpage to open. I get the usual message,
IE cannot open this page. Check blah, blah. I have checked everything in
the help files, I have contacted my ISP tech support, which basically had me
doing the things I had already done. It is not a secure site, so I just
understand why it will not open. Hell, I even downloaded Firefox and that
didn't work. I have had other people try it and they have no problem. If
someone has an answer, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!

You do not mention anything about IIS, and the normal route when you have
problems with your own web server is not to contact the ISP, so my first
question is: Is this a problem with IIS?

To me, it sounds like a general networking problem not related to IIS.

I wasn't sure where to start to try and find a solution. I started here
because I am having problems with a web site, so I guess I would have to say
no to your question.
Looking at some of the other tech communities, I didn't see one that comes
any closer than this one. If you can point me in the right direction, I
would appreciate it.
Thanks!!!

I would start with a newsgroup related to Internet Explorer. You may also
get some better help from a networking newsgroup.

So try the following newsgroups:

Internet Explorer 7
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=78104

Windows XP networking
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/reader.mspx?d...icrosof

Windows Vista networking
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=...rosoft.

Good Luck!
