Please help me!

IIS is not installed properly on my XP Professional system. However, I
cannot uninstall or reinstall it. When I uncheck the checkbox for IIS, and
click Next, the system begins the uninstall process. Then after quite a
while a message box appears saying: "Copy operation cancelled." or something
like that. IIS has not been uninstalled.

I need to get it installed properly so that I can install Visual Studio .Net
2003. I've been trying to do this for quite a few months now, and am at a
total loss. I would just wipe out Windows XP and try to reinstall, but I'd
lose a lot of other work on my PC.

Please help me!

Not if you backed up. However, '"Copy operation cancelled." or something
like that' is not enough to go on. What is in your log file? What else is
running on your system?

A few months huh? You have more patience than I do.

I'llhave a look through the log file - but I don't really know what I'm
looking for!

I've got Norton Antivirus and Internet Security running when I'm trying the
uninstall.

Usually the entry matching the error you received. Have you tried disabling
NAT and InetSec?

I've reinstalled Windows XP. So I have IS installed now, but have to go
through the trauma of installing the updates and service packs.

Well, hopefully you are not doomed to repeat history.
