Unable to download .INI files from IIS6

Post subject: Unable to download .INI files from IIS6
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
We have an INI file down ISS6, and we can not download this file from an
other client by HTTP.
When I try to rename this file to .TXT , I can download it , so the address
it's correct !

Please help us.!

IIS 6.0 does not serve unknown file types. You will have to add a mime type
for this.

Nothing ! I have add the mime format but I can not download the file also,
now I can only see text of the ini file.

You can't "force" a download unless you change the mime-type to something
that the client browser won't try to open..
