I'm really opening myself up here - I know how you guys can be! (For
that matter, I know how *I* can be!)
So, what do you think? Overall, technical, etc.

I checked your code, and I see that it's intentional, as is the use of
pixel specifications in general for your font sizes.

Your very first "musing" is about usability. Yet the text in that "musing"
is set at 80% of my preferred font size. This page is only "usable" to me if
I increase *my user font size* to put the effective size back to 100%. Why
is this?

Why? Using firefox with the relevant addins it takes one key stroke.

Apart from a missing character encoding it validates.

At first glance, it is aesthetically pleasing, resizes, easy to scan.
Nice.
The applications page appears to be empty?
Your grammar should be adjusted. You have incorrectly used a colon
where a commar or semi-colon is more appropriate:
"I have long been an advocate of usability on the web: basing design
on what is easiest for the user."
By the way, you have a slight issue when viewing the site with a
character-based browser. You'll see what I mean if you check it.

Yeah what he said.
Although where you link to an external site you might want to say so.

overall, first impression, piece of junk.
I would click through it so fast.
I don't understand what you are trying to do.
the layout is funky and meaningless.
Revamp the whole thing and try again >> Stay informed about: Thoughts on my site |

Except for the "Musings" page, which, like the vast majority of
blogs, does not.
Is there no good blogging software out there?

The software is not the problem, the template is. It's not that hard to
make a blog template that is *not* fixed width, it just takes a little time.

Agreed - I'm working on that. The trick is to not break it completely in
the process... >> Stay informed about: Thoughts on my site |
