I have been reading through the info that PositionTech / Teohma supply
regarding submitting to search engines. They say that submitting every month
will only hinder your chances of a higher position or even being listed at
all, and that you should submit once only- Is this true?
Also, could someone point me in the right direction of a list of the most
popular engines to be listed on (especially for the UK) .
Many Thanks in advance! >> Stay informed about: Site Submissions |

Depends on the engine. I wouldn't imagine for a second that they all used
the same rules and algorithms. Generally speaking, it won't do any good.

LOL: succinct and to the point as usual.

As you know Mr T, less is more!
(Didn't mean that to sound personal!)

I recently posted a "Notes for novices" regarding "Google", I suggest
you review it. Google is by far the most important search engine for a
UK based business to consider.
Check the Google documentation for full details, but in short they
don't mind how many times you submit your URL to them (but why bother
unless you have made a change?)

/nods and smiles
Google musta dances behind my back or something. All of a sudden, three of my domains are
listed with Google ... one is the third down out of 200+ results. The only thing I can think
of different is that I reapplied for my dmoz editor's account. Two days later, I'm listed?
I still haven't gotten the app email to validate! I think their script/process is broken.
Point being, I haven't submitted my sites anywhere and it seems the cross-links between my
domains was enough to grab some attention.
Oh, happy days!

I notice DMOZ seems to be working well, the website that is. Took them long
enough to fix it.

How boring. Yet another anonymous tough guy. I think that's four we have
now, although they are normally at their toughest when taking-on women and
youngsters.
Care to put your name to that?
