Hi

We have a Win2k webserver running IIS, but the includes
are not loading. We are using Dreamweaver.

The structure is wwwroot then a list of folders below
(which includes the _includes folder).

Dreamweaver claim the it works OK with apache, but with
IIS you need to install some specific software.

Can anyone help

Thanks

Includes work fine with no extra software. Keep in mind that in IIS,
to use SSI you need to use a SHTM or SHTML extension on the file, they
don't (by default) run in HTM or HTML extension files as in Apache.
You can also use an ASP extension.

Point of interest, I spent some time recently converting a site originally
hosted on a Zeus webserver to run on IIS 5.0.... .shtml files with server
side includes in them just wouldn't post the include info. After spending
some time on the phone with the fine folks in Redmond, we found that SSI
would only run reliable on IIS 5.0 when embedded in an .asp page.

Swear to God....
