From the lack of response to my earlier enquiries it has become obvious that
nobody uses Microsoft's WCAT utility, (or is prepared to admit they use it).

We seem to have problems getting it to work except on one Website, and there
we don't know what it is that makes the difference.

What we wanted to use it for was as a tool to throw scripted URLs at a
chosen Website. Either as a load test, or to replicate what had happened
earlier according to a log file.

So I wondered what tools other people were using to do this kind of a thing,
and how good they found them for the task? Recommendations would be
appreciated! Smile

Also, as WCAT is free, what kind of outlay/time investment is required for
any recommendations?

WAST (Web Application Stress Tool) for stress testing (is free).

Application Center Test (I don't use this) is available with VS.NET
