I have installed Internet Information Server in a Windows 2000 Pro,
with administrator user (with this user I view and can configurate the
default site), but a restricted user can't view that, can open the
console of IIS but don't change the configuration.

must be an administrator user? and how can I do it with a restricted
user?.

Thanks

You have to be an Administrator in order to administer
IIS.

Use of the GUI requires the user to be a local admin. Might look at a
control panel, such as:

nthelp.org

The IIS Metabase can only be updated by a Web Server that is running =
High Isolation. If you have a server running High Isolation then you =
can use ASP ADSI with the correct permissions to change the =
configuration of IIS Default Web Server remotely.
