Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I completely removed and reinstalled IIS on my XP box. It is now a vanilla
install. When I try to access the sample pages, I get a HTTP 500.100 error
with these details.

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript compilation (0x800A0401)
Expected end of statement
//global.asa, line 10, column 71
application("cn_str") = "provider=microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0;data
source="c:\inetpub\wwwroot\data\8681.mdb") & ""
----------------------------------------------------------------------^

Help! How do I get IIS running?

Mark

IIS is running fine, but your script isn't. The error you
are seeing is a vbscript error. I would say it has to do
with the fact that in the source statement, you have an
ending ) but no beginning (.

Hey, what do I know...I am not a programmer...it's just a
thought.

Thanks doug, you were right. There was a leftover app from the reinstall
that had left some incorrect info in the global.asa file. Apparently I
didn't delete everything prior to reinstalling.
