Pay per click - Questions for a consumer site - Please help

I am new to this...and clueless!

1. I am trying to find out how much it costs for different keywords
(pay per click ads).

I went to Google, but could not find out what it costs. Does one have
to register with Google being getting this info

I would like to find out the costs in MSN, Yahoo etc..if they have pay
per cick

2. Also wanted to find out how many people have keyed in certain
keywords in a month at each site.

3. Any statistics on how many (percentage of) people typically who type
in certain keywords click on the ad on the side ?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Linda

Howdy Linda,

It varies from .05 to over $1.00 per click depending on how many people are
bidding on the keywords. Yes, you must register and set up an AdWords
account before you can find out what the key words you want to use will
cost.

Success depends on a large number of factors. You may find it profitable or
a complete waste of money. Plan on spending several hundred dollars before
you have an idea of how it's working for your needs.

Yahoo! is working their copy cat versions. Costs will probably be about the
same with less efficiency.

You'd have to ask each individual site to release that information.

Detailed analysis like this usually cost money.
