Pending Delete is the term entered into a domains whois
status record field
This indicates the Registrar has requested the name be
deleted.
Once the registrar requests a name be deleted the name
enters the Redemption Grace Period (RGP) for 30 days during
which time the original registrant may request the name be
restored. (the Registrar can charge whatever fee they wish
to do this)
If the original registrant requests the registrar to restore
the name the registrar must complete the request to the
registry within 5 days. Failure to do so and the name will
re-enter the RGP subject to a new 30 day period.
If a request to restore the name is not made within the 30
days RGP the name then enters a Redemption Hold Period (RHP)
that last for 5 days. During the RHP the name is 'locked'
and cannot be re-registered or restored.
At the end of the 5 days RHP the name is released for
registration on a first come first served basis ( as a new
name)
What this means given your status is you can request your
registrar to restore the name (for whatever fee they wish to
charge) before the 30 day RGP or you can wait for the 30 + 5
days to pass and then try and be the first to register it as
a new name.
