Post subject: Monitor Apache with SNMP
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hello all!
I am trying to monitor an Apache http server with SNMP but I am not
able to find any good info on how to do this, so hopefully someone here
can help.
We are considering converting from M$ IIS to Apache 1.3.33 on Debian,
but one thing I cannot get over is trying to get data out of Apache via
SNMP, which we are currently doing for IIS Sad
All we need it really a hits counter (oid that returns an integer),
which is then graphed using an MRTG-like app, but so far I cannot find
a way to do this for Apache, can anyone here help me out with this?
Thanks for any help!!!

-Mike

(fyi: I have seen the mod_apache_snmp package but would rather avoid
this as we are using the packaged version (of Apache) from Debian and
already have it setup nicely.)
