I do not want the website content. Just the sites themselves. What's
weird is that IIS 6.0 already shows all the websites that are active in
the farm. Even though this machine has not been put into the webfarm
yet.

Typically on win2k what we did was use metaedit 2.2 and just would
export as text file on all the websites, then go to the new machine that
we were going to add to the farm and install metaedit 2.2 and import
that text file. Then use find and replace and change the names of
things where they needed to be changed.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
